We're embarking on a mission to raise $50,000 by January 31, 2019 through the Building Bridges Campaign. Every dollar raised will go towards
  • Improvement and expansion of facilities
  • New education programs catered towards all ages in our community at large
  • Greater opportunities for collaboration between community and classrooms

It is our privilege to take a position as a leader, uniting efforts through education across southern WV to answer the need for a more holistic approach to bring health and prosperity back to our community.
new 2018: programs & expansions
our story
In 2008, four Fayette County mothers banned together to create a alternative education opportunity for their children. Nearly 10 years later, their labor of love has grown into a fully functional school, serving over 40 students across Southern WV.

Today, we continue to grow as our school and community-at-large recognizes the need for educational diversity and stronger community ties. In response to this need, we are expanding our facilities and broadening our program offerings as a way to bridge the gap between education and community, seeking solutions together to better this place we call home.

If you’re familiar with Southern WV, you are no stranger to the challenges our community faces. From a public education system that struggles to accommodate our students and care for our educators, to the wave of substance abuse challenging us at every turn. At NRGLC we believe it's all living and connected.

Community service, social justice, and mindfulness are just a few of the principles reflected in our Six Pillars and Portrait of a Graduate. Through these principles, we aim to let our students learn through experience how they are already playing a role in our community, and how each child has the power to shape their role starting today.
